Application of IHSDM
IHSDM Module(s) used:
• Policy Review
• Crash Prediction
• Design Consistency
• Traffic Analysis
Purpose of using IHSDM on this project:
As a tool to help review the design plans
Stage(s) of the project development process in which IHSDM was applied (e.g., planning, preliminary design, final design, etc.):
Preliminary design
How IHSDM results were used to make design decisions:
- Policy Review Module: the results were compared with results from another Policy Checking tool to confirm that the design meets standards
- Crash Prediction Module: to identify problem spots, and also potential liabilities if the improvement cannot be carried out
- Design Consistency Module: to identify problem spots
- Traffic Analysis Module: to identify delays and passing bottlenecks
