Note: Please do not use download programs or plug-ins that establish multiple connections to download files. Download all files to a local directory before trying to run any executables. If you have problems downloading files from this site, please contact the IHSDM Technical Support staff at IHSDM.Support@dot.gov or (202) 493-3407. Support is provided weekdays during normal business hours (U.S. Eastern time) except for Federal government holidays.
At this time, a Full Distribution is available for the 2019 Public Release. Please note: The IHSDM 2019 Release can be installed over 2011 and later versions of IHSDM. To access a legacy IHSDM Project in the 2019 Release, first Archive the legacy Project in the “old” Release and then Un-Archive the Project in the 2019 Release.
Some users unable to run IHSDM: It has come to our attention that some IHSDM users are not able to run the program. This may be a result of recent updates to the Windows operating system or changes in the host computer’s security/virus protection program. It has been reported that the IHSDM splash screen is shown briefly and the program fails to start. This is a good indication that the computer will not allow IHSDM to run. We are working on a fix for the problem and will post an update when it is available. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
If you have not registered for a download password, you must do so first. If you already have a password for file downloads, enter your e-mail address and password. If you have previously registered but have forgotten you password, enter your e-mail address and your password will be sent to you.
"User data not found" message:
It has come to our attention that some users who registered as new IHSDM download users between June of 2016 and March of 2017 may have had their user data corrupted in our data files. When submitting an e-mail address (user ID) and password (on this page, below), a message may appear that says, "The user identifier, firstname.lastname@example.org, was not found. You need to register first." This is a good indication that the previous user data is no longer available. We have fixed the problem; however, you will need to re-register for IHSDM download. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
The Submit Password button may ask you to update your user registration data prior to displaying the Download Page.
The information requested when registering for or downloading IHSDM (i.e., your “IHSDM User Profile”) is to help FHWA evaluate the current and potential market for IHSDM, and will not be provided to any third-party.
